Catalina Undersea Expedition

Come face-to-face with Catalina’s abundant marine life by cruising five feet under water in a spacious, climate-controlled cabin. Every passenger has their own seat and port hole plus you’re free to roam about the cabin seeking other viewpoints. Catalina Island Golf Course

Nine hole public golf course. Rental clubs/golf carts available. Group & tournament play welcome. Fully stocked Pro shop. Originally designed as a three-hole course, the Catalina Golf Course was expanded to 9 holes in the early 1900’s and in 1929 to a 18 hole tournament-worthy course. During World War two the course was not cared for and by 1945 the course was brought back to 9 holes. The current course features five Par 4 and four Par 3 holes.

Nature Center at Avalon Canyon

Get in touch with your wild side at the Nature Center at Avalon Canyon. Conveniently located close to the Wrigley Memorial and Botanic Garden and the Hermit Gulch Trail Head, the Nature Center features self-guided tours, as well as hands-on activities for kids.

Mountain Biking

Two Harbors Dive and Recreation Center rents out mountain bikes and gear. Remember that a mountain biking permit is required for mountain biking around the interior of the island. Permits can be acquired at the Airport-in-the-Sky, or the Two Harbors’ Visitors Services.

Backpacking and Hiking

Whether you’re looking to do a longer day hike to eat a picnic lunch up on of the islands’ scenic vistas, or you would rather take on the 38.5 mile Trans Catalina Trail, the island has options to please every backpacker.

Camping

There are five distinct campgrounds accessible from the Trans Catalina Trail, or the truly adventurous can kayak to one of the island’s remote coves. Whichever path you choose, Catalina is truly a camper’s paradise.

Summit Night Adventure Tour

Explore Catalina at night in our biofuel Hummer. View the night lights of Avalon on this delightful evening drive. Breathtaking views with stops overlooking beautiful Avalon Bay. Your driver provides interesting Catalina Island highlights as your hummer winds it’s way through the heart of Avalon, down the coastline, and into the hills above this romantic and historic town. At Wishbone Loop, you’ll experience the canopy of stars and enjoy a little refreshment. This tour will last approximately 70 minutes.
